Caring for Babies
Comprehensive Newborn Care and Support
When attending a baby's birth Lisa provides parents with assurance and peace of mind by being immediately available if the baby needs help adjusting to life outside the womb.
After the baby's birth, Lisa can identify problems and plan appropriate management with parents. In the event that your baby needs to be admitted to the Special Care Nursery, Lisa will supervise care and closely monitor progress.
Prenatal and Postnatal Newborn Consultations
Lisa is available to attend your caesarean section at Epworth Freemason's and St Vincent's Private Hospitals, Melbourne. Please ask your Obstetrician to book Lisa for your birth if you would like her to be your baby's paediatrician.
Sometimes problems that affect newborn babies are detected during pregnancy. Your obstetrician may refer you to Lisa to discuss what can be expected after your baby is born.
Lisa is available for consultation on the health and well-being of babies up to 6 months of age, following a referral from your GP or Obstetrician.
